Coffee scrub mix |
I love coffee, smell and taste are just amazing. I am sure that I'm not the only one.
It's been a while since I have been using a coffee scrub. I stopped because I was amazed by the one in the shops, how good they look and how nicely they smell. To be honest with you, coffee scrub ( for me) work the best.
I would like to thank my good friend Julia for reminding me about this amazing homemade ( and very cheap ) beauty product.
Benefits of coffee for your skin and body:
- coffee grounds can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite
- ideal for reducing inflammation and redness in your skin
- applying caffeine under your eyes will reduce the puffiness and inflammation associated with dark circles
Just adding sea salt or sugar to grounded coffee you can make yourself a spa-quality body scrub to exfoliate your skin, improve skin texture, decrease the appearance of cellulite and make your skin so smooth!
If you will use full body exfoliation with a coffee scrub it will help to remove dead skin and will give you much younger looking skin. Clean, exfoliated skin will also absorb more moisture effectively.
Recipe 1 natural scrub:
- 3 table spoon of ground coffee ( use not very coarse one )
- 1 tablespoon of choice of oil Like coconut oil, almond oil, don't anything that can block your pores
- 1 table spoon of salt or brown sugar for the massage
Recipe 2 vanilla scrub :
- 3 table spoon of ground coffee (use not very coarse one )
- 1 table spoon of choice of oil Like coconut oil, almond oil, don't anything that can block your pores
- 1 table spoon of salt or brown sugar for the massage to help remove dead skin
- 1 tea spoon of vanilla paste
Recipe 3 cacao scrub :
- 3 table spoon of ground coffee use not very coarse one
- 1 table spoon of choice of oil Like coconut oil, almond oil, don't anything that can block your pores
- 1 table spoon of salt or brown sugar for the massage
- 1 table spoon of cacao powder ( optional you can add 1 spoon of cinnamon)
Recipe 4 honey scrub :
- 3 table spoon of ground coffee use the not very coarse one
- 1 table spoon of choice of oil Like coconut oil, almond oil, don't anything that can block your pores
- 1 table spoon of salt or brown sugar for the massage
- 2 table spoon of organic honey
Method :Mix all dry ingredients Oil amount is your preference based on how much of coffee grounds you are using. Make this in single use amounts, or make a larger batch and store in fridge if you used wet grounds. Final scrub consistency depends on you, some like more oil than others, some like it dryer. Experiment. There's no wrong or right.
How to use it:
When you’re ready for your coffee body scrub make sure that you are doing it in your bathroom as the scrub is very messy. Lay down a paper towel or a towel ( can get slippery from the oils). You can either wet your skin with warm water or put the scrub straight on your skin.
Take a handful of the coffee body scrub and gently massage it into your skin, in slow, circular movements. When using on face be very gentle. Keep the body scrub for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Dry with a clean towel and relax.
Hope that you will love it as much as me.
