Today I want to present my ideas for Chia Fresca.
I love my fruit infused water and for some time already I started adding chia seeds.
In my post few weeks ago I wrote about My addiction to chia seeds! as well as the health benefits of chia seeds.
I use chia seeds for deserts and bakins as well as during hot days addition to my fruity infused water.
If you soak chia seeds in water for about 10 minutes, you will get a glass of gelly water, this is the result of the soluble fiber in the chia.
Chia seeds are considered to be hydrophilic, meaning they can absorb large amounts of water quickly. They can hold 10 times their weight in water making them a great enhancer in hydrating our bodies, a valuable tool for athletes or anyone looking to improve their day to day performance and endurance.
Very easy to digest and no needing grinding to eat, chia seeds are pretty much the perfect food.
Chia fresca you can drink with any type of fruits and veggies if you want.
In this post I am showing you only few of my ideas, would like yo know how you like to drink your chia fresca.
To prepare CHIA FRESCA is very easy:
1 cup of still ( or sparkling water if you prefer)
1 table spoon of chia seeds
any fruit, herbs and veggies you like
Mix all ingredients together, leave it for 10 min and Enjoy
